Description
The main focus of this course is on structural issues in a house (framing, steel lentils, break), foundations (slab on grade, crawlspaces supports, Basement block walls, poured basement walls) and retaining walls (timber, modular block, CMU's are concrete). Additional topics may include water table, slope failure, slope stability, trash/debris pits). Students will be more knowledgeable regarding the fundamentals of foundation failures and the methods most contractors and engineers use to repair them. *Florida students: Upon successful completion of modules, email certificate of completion to ASHI Education at education@ashi.org.
