The course will include an introduction to the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) and terminology such as Base Flood Elevation and Elevation Certificates; case studies of storm-damaged houses; concerns such as structural, electrical and mold issues; strategies to minimize future storm impacts including house elevations; and items to focus on in repaired houses.
